Your news in the picture
What will we do with your news?
- E-mail newsletters
News from the exhibitors is a standing item in the visitors’ newsletters. The newsletters include a link to the trade fair website where more exhibitors’ news is available.
- Press releases
Some of the news we receive highly interesting, and we decide that it is worthy of a press release. In other instances we discover interesting trends in the news we receive and then publish a press release on the trends.
- Trade fair website
We fill large parts of the visitors’ section of the trade fair website with exhibitors’ news.
- Editorial articles
Some trade journals devote specials to the trade fair, or we place advertorials. These also contain space for exhibitors’ news.
- Online pressroom
Journalists seek news in our online pressroom, where they will also find your news.
What is news?
News is everything you regard as news. There is only one limitation: the news must relate to the trade fair. Consequently, an innovation is not news when the visitor cannot find out more about the innovation at the trade fair.
What are examples of news?
- Innovations (new products, services)
- Trade fair special offers (discount offers)
- Activities (shows, presentations, competitions, etc.)
So send your news to news@vakantiebeurs.nl or fill in your page on Expomatch!
How can you increase the probability of your news being used?
We will probably receive more news from exhibitors than we can use – and solely the best news will receive the best places, such as in the e-mail newsletters or on the front page of the website. For this reason, please find enclosed 3 tips to increase your probability of receiving a good place.
Tip 1: Is it interesting?
What you regard as important news may not be regarded as important by the visitors. For example, the fact that your company was founded 100 years ago and you plan to celebrate the anniversary will not interest visitors. However, fact that your company was founded 100 years ago and you plan to celebrate the anniversary by offering discounts will be of interest to visitors to the trade fair.
Tip 2: Brief and to the point
80% of the news will be used online, on the website or in e-mail newsletters. Online copy is concise. We are more likely to make use of your news when it is brief and to the point.
Tip 3: Photos
Send photos with your news – not together with the news release, but separately. Preference is given to print-quality photos (300 DPI) in .EPS, .GIF or .JPG. Are you uncertain whether your photos meet these conditions? Send them to us anyway: we will find a solution!
