The GetAway and Jaarbeurs strive for a sustainable future. Together we can make more impact. Here you will find useful tips for a sustainable day out.

1. Come by public transportation

Train, streetcar & bus are attractive ways to get to Jaarbeurs Utrecht. Vakantiebeurs is less than 5 minutes walking distance from Central Station (choose exit Jaarbeurs). You can also buy a combi ticket from the NS Spoordeelwinkel: a train ticket and admission to the fair in one.

2. Download the app

Download the Jaarbeurs app on your smartphone and find useful information for your visit to Vakantiebeurs! Find routes and exhibitors on the digital map. Together we save many thousands of tons of paper each year.

3. Deliver your waste separately

Inside all Jaarbeurs buildings you will find separate waste bins. Materials such as paper and plastic are thus largely reused. This saves new raw materials, energy and money.

4. Sustainability Route

Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important element in the new travel world. Vakantiebeurs is happy to align itself with these themes and thus developed the Sustainability Route, along partners who offer vacations and travel with sustainability in mind. Many of our participants hold the Travelife Partner certificate.

5. Sustainable catering

Discover vegetarian, local and seasonal dishes at Moments locations and restaurants. Thirsty? Use your own water bottle. That way we collectively use tons less plastic and you always have something to drink on hand.

6. Donate your deposit

Plastic bottle or can left over? Recycle it in the bin provided and donate the deposit to the Princess Maxima Center for Pediatric Oncology. This way you contribute to the environment and to charity.
