Exclusive Event for Students

Travel Talent Event

Are you an enthusiastic student with a passion for tourism, eager to explore the opportunities that the travel industry offers post-graduation? Who better to guide you through the possibilities after graduation than former students who have been thriving in the travel world? During engaging 40-minute sessions, young professionals from various organizations, holding diverse roles, will share insights with you. They’ll express their love for the industry, narrate their experiences working in the travel sector, and offer valuable advice on finding the perfect job. You’ll gain insight into the challenges they’ve conquered and the paths they’ve taken to reach their current positions. And, of course, they’re prepared to address all your queries.

The Travel Talent Event is scheduled for January 11, 2024, and is organized by Reiswerk, the labor market fund of the travel industry.

Make the Most of Your Experience!

Prepare for Your Visit

The Vakantiebeurs is a fantastic opportunity for students and young professionals to immerse themselves in the world of travel and tourism. However, it’s essential to be well-prepared to get the most out of your visit. Here are some valuable tips to help you prepare for your trip to Vakantiebeurs:

Bring Your Resume
Compile your resume and bring multiple printed copies. You never know when a great opportunity might arise to speak with a potential employer or internship provider. Ensure that your resume highlights your skills, education, and any relevant experiences.

Research the Exhibitors
Take the time to study the list of exhibitors before heading to the fair. This will give you insight into which companies and organizations will be present and what opportunities they offer. Try to understand the types of internships, jobs, or learning experiences they provide and which align best with your interests.

Prepare for Conversations with Exhibitors
When talking to exhibitors, being well-prepared is crucial. Consider the following points:

  • Identify your strengths: Reflect on what sets you apart from other candidates. Is it your passion for travel, language skills, organizational abilities, or something else? Emphasize these strengths in your conversations.
  • What do you want to learn: Set clear goals for what you want to achieve at Vakantiebeurs. Do you want to learn more about specific destinations, the travel industry in general, or are you interested in particular jobs or internships? These goals will help you ask focused questions to exhibitors.
  • Why should a company choose you: Think about what you have to offer potential employers or internship providers. What makes you the ideal candidate for the positions you’re interested in? Be prepared to communicate this with confidence.

By following these steps and going well-prepared to the Vakantiebeurs, you’ll increase your chances of making valuable connections, gaining insights into the travel industry, and perhaps even taking the first steps toward an exciting career in the world of travel and tourism. Good luck and enjoy your visit!
