What makes a family trip really special?
Traveling with your children... that is something almost everyone dreams of! Going on adventures together, discovering new places, meeting other cultures and doing the most fun activities. It's exactly those moments when you make the most beautiful memories together. At Young Travel Company, we know all about that-family travel is our specialty. But what actually makes a trip with us different from a "regular" vacation? I'd love to explain that to you!
- Enough variation in the route
A good family trip has variety, we understand that all too well. As a kid, you probably didn't want to visit a church or market for the umpteenth time ... and it's no different these days. After two temples, most kids have really seen it. As my own child once said, "Canoeing again? We did that the day before yesterday, didn't we?" That's why we build a nice mix into every trip: a little culture, something active, nice relaxation... so everyone stays happy.
- Active travel
Sitting still is not an option for most children, and very honest: for parents often not. That's why we provide an active mix. Not behind the bus window all day, but out and about! Bike tours in almost every country, ziplining, rafting, mountain biking, kayaking or horseback riding... there is always something cool to do. Being on a trip with us is never boring. - Multiple nights in one hotel
Packing and unpacking every day is tiring-especially with children. Not only do you have your own stuff, but often their suitcase needs to be repacked. And teenagers... they leave something lying around everywhere. That's why we often stay several nights in the same place. Just relax after a busy day, get some rest, and then get ready for new adventures.
- Child-friendly hotels
After a day full of activities, kids like to chill out. A dip in the pool, good wifi to keep in touch with the home front, or just run around in the garden for the little ones. That's why we pick hotels that are really kid-friendly. And of course they are centrally located, so you can easily walk out the door in the evening for a bite to eat or a little shopping.
- Not too long distances
Adults can often sit in the car or bus for a long time if they know something beautiful awaits. Children ... a little less so. That is why we keep travel distances short and manageable. This keeps everyone happy AND leaves plenty of time for fun activities that day.

Self-drive with a rental car - Want to set your own pace? In Costa Rica, Mexico, Iceland, South Africa and Malaysia you can very well travel independently. Stop wherever you want, while your accommodations are already arranged.
Travel by public transport - Sustainable, relaxed and the best way to really get to know a country. Japan is absolutely the best public transport country in the world: everything works flawlessly. But also in Thailand and Vietnam you can comfortably travel long distances by train. Especially the night train is a must with children. Adventure guaranteed!
Private driver for ultimate convenience - Do you want complete peace and comfort? Then choose a tour with a private driver. In Sri Lanka, you travel with a driver who is also a guide and knows the most beautiful places - and even pays attention when you want to visit another temple and your children don't want to.
And how about a tour of Tanzania' s most beautiful parks with your own private guide and driver? An experience to remember.
