Maribor, the second-largest city in Slovenia and home to the oldest grapevine in the world, is the European Best Wine Capital 2026 and holds titles such as European Capital of Culture 2012, Sports City 2018, European Best Culinary Destination 2023 and European Best Green Capital 2025.
